Roccat is trying to claim your couch

With each day that passes, the PC steroids closer and closer to ruling the living room. A single computer  can easily replace many set top boxes and game consoles. Not that there’s anything wrong with having having boxes on top of boxes, but a single solution is really the best way to go. The real problem is how does one control a PC from the comfort of a couch. wireless controllers are nice, but not applicable in every situation. Wireless keyboards are a great choice, but generally have no where to use a mouse.  Well, Roccat has finally released the last part of their future-ready products that were announced a few years back in the form of the SOVA keyboard.

The Sova is a keyboard designed with using from the couch in mind.   There are plenty of features  that make it great for distance usage like  a rather large mouse pad on the right, measuring 270mm by 240mm that is replaceable, to an integrated USB hub, to an impressively long four meter break away cable. The Sova alos packs many of the more common features found in other Roccat keyboards, such as N-Key rollover, 1000hz polling, and per-key back lighting.

There are two versions available for pre-order right now on the Roccat site $149.99 and $199.99. The lower cost version uses membrane keys and is being released on August 16th, while the higher cost version is equipped with mechanical Cherry switches and comes to us on August 31st. If you’re at all interested in a couch keyboard, this may be worth taking a look at.
