ADATA is lighting up the depths of our cases (if we haven’t done so already) with their new XPG Dazzle modules. The new modules are a part of their Xtreme Performance Gear (XPG) line and are clearly targeted at the gaming segment if the PC community.
The modules will be sold in matched kits of either two or four pieces and capacities ranging from 16GB all the way 64GB. Pricing has been released for the matched sets of 8GB and are as follows.
XPG Dazzle LED DDR4 2800 8G*2 (AX4U2800W8G17-DRD) – $109.99
XPG Dazzle LED DDR4 2800 8G*4 (AX4U2800W8G17-QRD) – $199.99
We personally think the look is okay and a good place to start. The black and red color scheme has been done to death, but given its popularity it’s no wonder ADATA chose to start here. Hopefully there will be more color options in the future. Or better yet, just give us an RGB version so we coordinate every color of our builds.
Also, here’s a size spec for those that would be concerned about heat spreader clearance. The heat spreader is rather large, but nothing that we haven’t seen from other companies like Kingston and Avexir.
No word on availability date as of writing. The only word we have to work with is where the memory will be available, which is Aamzon.com and Newegg.com
Growing up the son of a West Coast Video Manager, Sean-Paul has literally been playing video games for as long as he can remember. Starting as a wee little boy in his room with a 7” black and white TV and his Atari 2600 with Tank Plus, not much has changed, just the room and television have gotten bigger. When not gaming, Sean-Paul is usually cooking, watching anime, or riding his bike around Singapore and dreaming up his next computer build.
