CES 2018 : What caught our attention and not in a good way

The Consumer Electronics Show is always an event colored by the latest and flashiest tech from the world’s biggest vendors. Year after year, the press, and the public are treated to leaps in technology innovation that make us wish the future would hurry up and get here.

So anime usually gets a bad rap from people that aren’t fans of the genre. We’re not talking about the people that have only seen Akira and Ninja Scroll (one day I’m going to rip into Ninja Scroll and why it’s utter trash) and think that those films were awesome, but never really found anything else that they like. No, the bad rap comes from the masses whose only incounters with the genre are either what their kids watch/play (Dragonball Z, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh) or most likely what they’ve seen on the internet. Those were the Wild West days of anime in the US. Now, things are much better. Anime is still a popular niche category and great titles are coming out closer and closer to the airing dates in Japan. Which brings us to our show of interest – Guilty Crown.
